Which survey should I choose?
Level 2 Home Survey: Usually suitable for conventional homes in reasonable condition. It gives a clear overview of visible defects, risks and maintenance needs.
Level 3 Building Survey: Usually more appropriate for older, altered or complex properties, or homes where the condition raises concerns. It provides a more detailed assessment and explanation of visible defects and repair options.
Specific Defect Report: A focused inspection where you need advice about a particular issue, such as dampness, cracking or a roof leak.
The appropriate service depends on the individual property and your concerns. All inspections are visual and non-intrusive, subject to the agreed scope and access limitations. Valuations are not included.

Home survey questions
Which survey should I choose?
A Level 2 Home Survey is usually suitable for a conventional home in reasonable condition. A Level 3 Building Survey is generally more appropriate for older, altered or complex homes. Send Chris the property details or a listing link for advice on the appropriate service.
What should I include when requesting a quote?
Include the property address, a listing link if available, and any particular concerns. Mention any proposed exchange or completion deadline so inspection availability and reporting arrangements can be discussed.
How do I book my survey?
Use the quote button to send the property details. Chris will confirm the appropriate service, fee and available inspection dates. Your instruction is then confirmed through Surventrix so the agreed scope and access arrangements can be put in place.
When will I receive the report?
Reports are normally issued within one week of inspection. The expected timescale will be confirmed when you book, taking account of the property and agreed service.
Are valuations or testing included?
No. The surveys are visual and non-intrusive, subject to safe access, the agreed scope and inspection limitations. Services are not tested. Valuations and repair-cost estimates are not included.
Can I discuss the findings with Chris?
Yes. You deal directly with Chris, the surveyor carrying out the inspection, and can contact him to discuss the report's significant findings and recommended next steps.
